Anti-Cholesterol Savory Toast-Topper + Avocado Toast
This savory, salty, and umami seasoning makes an excellent sprinkle to top toasts, soups, salads, or savory pastries while helping to lower cholesterol as part of a heart-healthy diet.☨

Ingredients
Savory Sprinkle
1 tsp | .20 oz milk thistle
1 ½ tsp | .46 oz reishi
½ pack of Gimme Seaweed Big Sheets,
¼ tsp | .05 oz cayenne powder
1 ¼ tsp | .25 oz nettle
½ tsp | flaky sea salt
½ tsp | dried, minced onion
½ tsp | dried, minced garlic
Avocado Toast
Cherry Tomatoes
Avocado
1-2 poached eggs
Fresh Sweet Batard Bread Loaf
Olive Oil
Pickled Red Onions
Salt
Pepper
Instructions
Savory Sprinkle
Remove roasted seaweed from packaging and break it down into smaller pieces. Add it to a bowl and set aside
Using a coffee grinder or high speed blender, grind milk thistle and reishi until they are a fine powder.
Add the roasted seaweed and nettle to the blender or coffee grinder and continue to blend until seaweed and nettle are well incorporated and powdered.
Empty contents of the blender or grinder into a bowl and add cayenne powder.
Stir to incorporate all herbs
Add herbs to a mason jar or another sealable container and label with the herbs as well as the date.
Avocado Toast
Slice cherry tomatoes in 3 lengthwise. Season with salt and pepper to taste
Slice avocado in thin slices lengthwise
Poach 1-2 eggs. I like Nagi Maehasi’s method
Heat 1 Tbsp of Olive Oil in a medium to large saucepan on medium-low
Slice Sweet Batard Bread loaf in ½ inch slices
Toast bread slices until golden brown
Assemble by adding avocado, cherry tomatoes, pickled red onions, and poached egg to 1 slice of toasted bread
Top with 2 teaspoons of seasoning sprinkle and enjoy
Note: Milk thistle, once ground retains its full potency and medicinal effects for up to 7 days. Use powder within a week to utilize the fullest medicinal benefits.
